I have a 31 year old son with bipolar and BPD and has suffered trauma in his childhood
I also care for my father who has PTSD and I believe has frontal lobe dementia

Sometimes, when you are aware of someone struggling or having a hard time it can be tricky to know how to open up conversation with the around it. You might ask them if they are okay and they just let you know they are fine. But you notice more and more that they don’t seem to be. How do you have a supportive conversation? What kind of things can you say to help them feel supported or help them feel like they can open up to you?
