That sounds lovely @Anastasia
Some of the Asian parrots & birds at Zoos are very colourful (gorgeous).
I especially like the Golden Pheasant - Which you can actually buy more easily now (I've seen them for sale).
To keep at home as a pet - A bit like a Chook.
Yep, "Hello Gorgeous" is very cute - I once had 2 Sulphur Crested Cockatoos.
They're very loud (noisy).
The Cockatoos & Macaws live up to 70 years - A very long-term commitment.

Thanks for the info @Shaz51
It does make me wonder how bad you have to be to get a kidney transplant. It seems you suffer everyday and things just get harder for you - yet you just keep plodding along and looking after other people without complaint - you are such a champion
This waiting list for a kidney transplant - is this because of the rarity of spare kidneys - I am a registered organ donor myself but because of the medication I am cutting back on I don't think I would be considered as a living donor - but then - I haven't looked into live-donors much at all - but you have to be pretty lucky for a registered donor to be in the right place at the right time for the donation to take place and this doesn't often happen
I really admire the way you keep on keeping on - not much choice I guess - you care for your Mum and Mr Shaz and this has to be a lot. I am glad you are your Mum's registered carer now - this must help a little
So your Mum is home with a broken hip I gather - that can't be easy - is anyone helping with her showers etc - and also bowel obstructions - my mother had them - but because my mother and I were not each other's favourites I didn't hear much about it or have to help - but I gather it's pretty horrible - more hard work
And now it seems she is getting dementia - something I know more about - family stuff - it seems there is a phase when the person with it has a rough time but this passes and they don't know - it has to be hard on the whole family
And it's 10 weeks since the house fire - how fast that time went for me? It might be easier for you to live in your Mum's house so you can be aware of how she is but I am pretty sure Mr Shaz isn't all that happy
And losing your home like that - that has to be among life's worst things
Sending my best thoughts though

My SIL is putting a lot of negative thinking in our brain , even this morning while we were sleeping in and she rang up to go do things in the yard
Glad Mr shaz said no
