Re: A Life of Trauma and Tragedy (Possibly Triggering Content)

Content/trigger warning

Aww thank you @Anastasia 🥰

And yes wouldn't it be great if we were able to beam ourselves in to our friends in need. 💞

I'm okay, just my anxiety has been peaking the last couple of months. And I haven't been able to bring it under control myself.

Just the usual PTSD high anxiety stuff. I am not sleeping, waking every hour. Heart rate over 100 consistently, feeling the heartbeat in my throat basically.. My GP picked me up on it last month when I was there for flu Vax. I dismissed it saying I had just been for a brisk walk with Hannah, who I had with me. But truth is, I hadn't. It's anxiety!

Anyway I figured it was time to bring the experts in to help out. So I rang for an apt with my psychologist last week, and saw her yesterday.

She has given me some tips on sleep hygiene. It can be cruel at times. And a few other pointers. And a good debrief, since it's a while since I've seen her

On a good note, Hannah came with me. She was a big hit with everyone she came across 💗. I am very lucky, she is an adorable little girl 🐕. And she behaved perfectly for the hour and a quarter that I was in my appointment. Just layed quietly on her mat at my feet. 😍

Really good you got in to seeing your psych @Emelia8

Sounds like they were able to help. Hopefully your sleeping improves.

Good job Hannah!

Hi @Clawde 👋💕

Re: A Life of Trauma and Tragedy (Possibly Triggering Content)

Hello @Emelia8

how are you and Hannah going today , thinking of you lots xx

Re: A Life of Trauma and Tragedy (Possibly Triggering Content)

Thank you @Shaz51 🙏😊💕

We are doing okay thanks. I have improved to where I was at a month or so ago. So my fortnightly psych appointments have now been pushed out to monthly. So, tick 👍

Hannah's training is progressing quite well. She is a clever little thing 🐕, sometimes I think too clever for her own good 😂.

I need to get in some practice in public transport with her. I've been putting it off, stressing about it. We have local buses in the town, where I can catch one around the corner from my home. It's a 15 min bus ride around the streets to the centre of town.

Anyway yesterday I bit the bullet and managed to catch the bus into town with Hannah 🐕.  Once in town we wandered around the street, stopped off at a cafe for a chai and walked along the river to fill in an hour before the next bus home. Hannah was great. Baulked momentarily on top step, but after reassurance, followed me on and was fine. She sat beside me on her mat on the floor watching with interest, all the comings and goings. So I need not have worried 😊💕
