Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Thank you so much my dear friend ❤

Trying to psych myself up to ring them back.

@Dimity

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Hello my friend,

I’m sorry about what happened with your job @NatureLover but you have done the right thing and I hope you’re enjoying the break.

All ok here, still stressing about my family and uni work.

I hope you have a good day.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

No tidying today. But planted 6 different sorts of daffodils and set a couple of geranium cuttings.

Too cold and wet to walk.

@NatureLover

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Oh no, what's happening with your family and your uni work? @Eve7

Thanks 💛

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Daffodils and geraniums, how lovely! @Dimity

Possums ate my geraniums, sadly.

I spoke to the interim manager yesterday and it went better than expected. She finally had to accept my decision when I said I had an interview that afternoon.

I did have a phone interview scheduled but they didn't call. They'll call this afternoon.

I didn't clear the bags on the kitchen floor. I wonder if that means I've failed in my goal. I'll have to ask my psychologist. I'll try again on the weekend.

Got lunch with friends today and tomorrow.

I hope you didn't get wet doing the gardening yesterday. What's on the schedule for today for you?

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Uni stresses me with timeframes @NatureLover and family just stress me out

I hope you have a good day.

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Sorry to hear, @Eve7 😥

Hoping things improve. Sending ❤ and care 🫂

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Well, I've got a new volunteer job, @Dimity . A friend who left my old job got the new job for me. He also volunteers for the new organisation.

It's a slightly smaller charity, and my role will be doing admin from home. But I thought I might go and do the work at the local library, to get out of the house.

I also received surprise flowers, chocolates and a card with beautiful words from my old job.

I still have an enquiry out with an even smaller charity who is my first choice, and who I contacted first. I would be able to go in to the office there. They're still thinking about it. It's stressing me a bit.

But with everything going on, the house is not neat! I've ruined my goal for my psychologist!

Thanks for listening. ❤

How are you feeling today? How's your back? When is your next home help?

Sending ❤ and care...

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

I'm glad you're accepted in a new job @NatureLover and you were acknowledged by the people at the old one.

I don't think you've necessarily failed in your home aspirations.  It was never a once-and-done. You can return to your efforts if you choose to. I also think it's important you allow yourself that grace, of recognising that  there were more pressing matters for a few days, and that it's OK to balance different priorities but return to the ongoing ones if you're seeing your psychologist in a fortnight there's plenty of time to get back on track and report overall success.

I'm a bit stuck at present. I try to catch up on chores every 2 or 3 days and haven't been addressing the longterm clutter. I feel quite bad about it, and would like help with it. .

Re: Any diagnosed germophobes or hoarders on this forum?

Thank you for your wisdom @Dimity ❤️

Yes, I hope life will slow down a bit this weekend and I can maybe address the house.

Can I help at all? Does reporting back help you? It helps me, but I'm not sure what would best suit you. Let me know.
