I feel like everyday whenever something good happens in my life something horrible immediately comes to ruin my day and I feel like no matter how hard I try to make things right it always turns out the same.

Hey @Shirazchurch
It sounds like you are dealing with a lot of stress at the moment, and this can be tricky to navigate when you're already in such a tough headspace. I'm sorry to hear that you haven't had the best run recently. To have good moments in your life constantly overshadowed by something horrible can't be easy, and it seems like you just can't catch a break.
It's great to hear that you are taking the steps to make things right, although, I know how disappointing this must feel when it seems like nothing is changing. You have taken a brave step reaching out on the forums tonight, and I'm curious to know what kind of support you're looking for from the community?
Please know you are not alone, and if you are needing a safe space to untangle some of those difficult thoughts and feelings further, you can always connect with Beyond Blue for free and confidential support 24/7.
Take care!

I can definitely relate to how you feel. Sometimes it feels like there is no point to even trying because it feels futile.
I found it helpful to keep a daily diary. It gives me a more objective way to look at the past. I can actually count all the good and not so good things that have happened. I feel like it’s a lot easier to remember the bad things so having physical evidence of the good is helpful. It’s also nice to see how far you’ve come when it feels like you’ve made no progress at all.
It's really great that you’re trying to make a change for yourself. It takes a lot of courage. I really hope things start to feel easier for you and the good becomes more noticeable.
