Re: mental health discrimination in the workplace
Totally agree @Jo-anneJoy about the small family business thing. Ive had the worst experiences in these places, no-one is accountable, they just do what they want. They talk all warm and fuzzies but they expect more from employees than is reasonable.

Re: mental health discrimination in the workplace
hi everyone
just an update on what's been going on -
i have given legal aid all the sick leave dates and how much i have spent for doctors, psychs, hospital and counselling.
She is writing up a letter to my ex-employer and will send me a copy before she sends.
I am anxious but i want to show them that they can't treat staff like they did. and also i don't want any other worker to be treated like the way i was.

Re: mental health discrimination in the workplace
This is a big step @BlueBay. I hope you can get something from all of this. I admire your outlook about future employees. The struggles of MH in the workplace are real.....

Re: mental health discrimination in the workplace
its a huge step for me @Sunshineandsea that's why i am anxious, scared and still not 100% sure if i am doing the right thing.
i know i will have the support from my GP and psych. when i told my doctor last week he was concerned that this will bring me right down as i will take this on as personal attack on me. he said he will tell me if he notices me going downhill.
i guess if the process makes me feel worse or going downhill then i will need to think if it is worth moving forward with the process.
