Cob Webs

Recently when I feel rotten I go and jump into my pool. I hate the idea of it but once I get that cold rush it seems to shock me straight.

Not everyone has a pool but I imagine a cold shower would do the trick.

Re: Cob Webs

Hi there @Gilgamesh,

That sounds like a really good idea jumping into some cold water in the shower or pool or the ocean, I guess it's like getting out of your head and into your body which can be really helpful to ground yourself.

Are there other things that help you to ground yourself by getting back into your body that you find helpful?

Lunar 🙂

Spot on...cold water helps a lot, been a lot of noise latley in the media re cold showers helping the mind.

I have just started the process and loving it, cold water helps...need to ensure no medical conditions prior to trying, but like all usefull tips you need do consistantly to get the benifets in the "head"

Re: Cob Webs

Wasnt cold ice baths used in the past as a sort of shock treatment?

The idea of plunging my quivering flesh into cold water is horrific!

 I find it REALLY hard at times to just have a shower, which is so weird, because once I am under it, I dont want to get out, I love hot water over my head and neck as I have terrible posture and get LOTS of headaches.

@Lunar

It's more what I don't do. No coffee or booze for me from now on.

Actually there is something else... I play a game called Wipeout HD on the zone playtype. Basically you go faster and faster until you crash.

When you get to the higher levels you just stop thinking it's crazy. I'm not sure if there is anything else that would give this effect. Riding a motorbike is centering so I hear.
